About

Charlie Reece is redefining what it means to be a modern country artist, blending the storytelling soul of country with the unapologetic grit of rock & roll. His music is deeply personal—rooted in real life, hard-earned lessons, and the kind of experiences you can’t fake. Every song carries the weight of both beauty and heartbreak, because he’s lived every word he sings.

Raised in a small town in rural Alabama, Reece grew up in a working-class household where music became his refuge. His mother, a single parent working multiple jobs to make ends meet, instilled in him the values of perseverance and passion. During the long hours he spent alone, Reece found connection through the radio, drawing inspiration from artists like Garth Brooks, George Strait, Guns N’ Roses, and Mötley Crüe. That mix of influences would later define his signature sound: country at its core, with a rock & roll edge.

At 16, Reece’s life changed forever when his mother was diagnosed with cancer. Through the uncertainty and pain, music became their bond—singing along to their favorite songs and finding solace in melody and lyrics. After her passing, survival took priority, forcing Reece to set aside his musical dreams to focus on getting by, eventually building a successful career in business. Along the way, he launched the X5 Podcast, a platform that quickly became one of the most talked-about shows in music and entertainment. Featuring candid conversations with musicians, comedians, and public figures, the podcast boasted over a million monthly viewers and was featured in Rolling Stone, TMZ, Entertainment Weekly, ET, Loudwire, and NME.

But no matter how much he achieved, something was missing. His heart belonged to music. Determined to return to his first love, Reece began writing again and stepped into the studio to collaborate with producer Jacob Bunton (Mick Mars, Billy Idol, Akon). The result is a body of work that showcases his dynamic range—pairing high-energy anthems with emotionally driven ballads.

First up in his release rollout was “Somewhere They’ll Never Know,” a feel-good summertime anthem capturing the spirit of escape and the reward of a hard-earned weekend. The track tells the relatable story of a working-class couple who put in long hours but live for the moments that let them escape to their own little getaway where they can be free.

“This song is about finding your own space to unwind, to escape, and to just enjoy life,” says Reece. “We all work hard, but the best part of the week is when we can let loose and make memories with the people we love.”

The official music video for “Somewhere They’ll Never Know” added another layer of energy, featuring a special cameo from Steve-O of MTV’s Jackass.

Now stepping into the spotlight is “Beer Don’t Lie,” a hard-hitting anthem built around a simple truth: honesty has a way of surfacing—especially after a few cold ones. Driven by a sharp hook and a no-holds-barred attitude, the track leans into the moment when guarded words give way to what people really mean. Positioned as the next wave in Reece’s rollout, it brings a bolder edge and undeniable relatability that’s built to connect both on stage and on repeat.

As Reece puts it, “People might lie to your face when they’re sober, but after a few drinks, the truth comes pouring out. Beer don’t lie and neither do the stories people tell when they’ve had a couple.”

To bring his music to the stage, Reece put together an all-star band, The Platinum Dolls, featuring a powerhouse lineup of seasoned musicians: former Fuel frontman Brett Scallions on guitar and vocals, Jacob Bunton (Lynam, Adler, Mick Mars) on lead guitar and vocals, Kyle Cunningham on drums, Mark Dzier (Lynam, Rock of Ages) on bass, and Bert Wallace on guitar.

Now, Charlie Reece is stepping fully into his moment. Authentic, unfiltered, and unapologetically himself, he’s not just singing country music—he’s living it.
